Chapter Two
“Ring!” The lunch bell rang.
“Okay, we will stop here for today.” The English teacher said.
“Rise, bow.” One of the students commanded.
After the greeting, the whole class started to become noisy. Everyone went back to their cliques and decide on where to have their lunch. Some had already went out of the class to have lunch in the cafeteria downstairs.
Ganta turned back and asked Aki for the notes she copied earlier, as he slept through most of the lessons and didn't copy it. He was replied with a knock on his head.
"OW! What the heck was it for!?" He asked while trying to nurse the bump on his head.
"No one told you to sleep in class. Besides, it's the first day and you can't take it?" Aki replied.
"I'm not as smart as you, scoring straight As for most of your subjects."
"It's effort that counts. This is the last time I'm borrowing you the notes." Aki replied and handed over the stack of notes.
Just then, the boy who wanted to ask Aki a question in homeroom earlier approached her.
“Hey Aki-chan~!”
“H-huh?” Aki turned around, telling herself that she did not have enough sleep and had misheard.
“Wanna eat lunch together?” The student said pointing to his two friends. One of them was blushing like a red apple.
“I’m sorry, but..." Aki trailed off.
"But?"
"I’ve got something on after this. Well... Paperwork! Ah hahaha..” Aki said while trying to find a good reason and looking around to see if anyone spotted her embarrassment. She turned to Ganta for help, but he had his head buried in the stack of notes.
“Oh okay. Well, maybe next time!” The boy said and left with his two friends.
"Why didn't you go with them? Don't tell me..." Ganta asked.
"What are you thinking. Go back to your notes already. I.. I'm gonna go to the toilet for awhile." Aki replied, trying to change the topic.
“Well, tried my best.” The boy earlier told his friend.
“..."
Like Aki, the almost same thing happened to Ganta.
"Hurry up~ Go ahead and ask him! Aki is no longer there!" One of the girls nudged her friends.
"B-but.." Her friend replied while blushing furiously, as well.
"Just get there already!" her friend say as she got pushed towards Ganta.
"W-wai--" The girl said before being pushed right in front of Ganta.
"Yes?" Ganta asked turning his attention to the girl.
"Ummm.. Ganta-kun.."
"Oh, you're the one sitting behind me." Ganta replied while trying to arrange his freshly copied notes.
"Ummm.. This might be random but.. Can I have your number?? Please!" The girl ask while looking at the ground, hoping that she would not be ridiculed.
“Sorry~ But I haven’t got a phone plan in Japan yet. I will tell you my new number when I get it.” Ganta replied as if people always asks him the same question when they first met him.
“Oh.. That’s too bad then. Bye.” The girl said, disappointed. She returned to her other two friends and later walked out of the class.
“Come on. Cheer up. You still have a chance~!” One of her friends told her.
“Mhm. Okay..” The girl said while nodding her head.
By then, most of the students had already left the class. Just then, Aki came back from the toilet. When everyone had left, Aki started walking towards Tsuna casually.
Tsuna was talking to Yamamoto and Gokudera.
“I’ve gotta go for my baseball meeting. Bye!” Yamamoto said to Tsuna.
“See you later!” Tsuna said.
“Stupid baseball-nut. Only caring about baseball, baseball, and more baseball.”
"Oh, Aki. Hi, and see ya." Yamamoto said and waved as he walked pass her.
"Bye." Aki smiled and waved back.
"What do you want." Gokudera demanded Aki rudely as she neared Tsuna.
“You’re Sawada Tsunayoshi?” Aki asked Tsuna, ignoring Gokudera.
“Aki-san? How did you know my name?” Tsuna asked as he turned his chair to face her.
“Wait, Tenth.” Gokudera whispered to Tsuna.
"Huh?" Tsuna asked, not knowing what was happening.
"Why are you carrying a pair of pistols in school?" Gokudera asked Aki.
Damnit. He noticed? Aki thought.
"I wonder how do you even spot them?" Aki replied.
"You. You are not any normal human are you?" Gokudera asked.
"Good job on coming up with that conclusion. And yes, I did use mist flames to cover up this weapons, so that they would not be seen by normal people." Aki replied.
"Who are you really?" Gokudera asked suspiciously.
"The Tenth Generation Vongola Snow Guardian." she replied.
"Haaa?" Tsuna and Gokudera replied in unison with their jaws hanging halfway.
"Heh. That was pretty straigtforward." Ganta thought as he made his way towards the trio.
“Wait wait wait wait. Snow guardian? Kidding me??” Gokudera asked while trying not to laugh.
“The Ninth sent me as a guardian to assist Tsunayoshi. Well, Ganta decided to tag along. I though you guys were already informed?” Aki said.
“You? A guardian. Damn. Don't make me laugh.”
“Hey, watch your tone when you speak with my sister.” Ganta stepped in front of Aki and said.
“Trying to pick a fight? Come on.” Gokudera taunted Ganta and stood at full height.
Ganta got very pissed. He tried to grab Gokudera's collar, but was stopped with a knock on his head again.
"Ahem." Aki said and shook her head.
"But--" Ganta protested.
"You know better than to hit people." Aki replied and patted Ganta's back.
"Uhh. Fine."
"Now what? Playing the good guy?" Gokudera mocked.
“I told you to watch your tone.” Ganta muttered while glaring at Gokudera. He then moved away.
“Gokudera-kun, just let her finish what she has to say, okay?” Tsuna said.
“I’m sorry, Tenth.” Gokudera apologised quickly.
“Okay, back to the topic. I had been briefed on what happened while you guys were in the future. And a few days ago, when I had just arrived in Japan, I accidentally went to the future, while trying to stop a kid from stealing candy from a store. His ten-year bazooka dropped out and fired.” Aki continued.
“Haha….” Damn Lambo, Tsuna thought.
“So what if you went to the future, you could just be one of the Millefiores. If you’re really a guardian, show me the proof.” Gokudera said.
Aki fumbled in her pocket and finally found the ring. She showed it to Gokudera. The ring looked like a Vongola ring, but it had never been seen before. On it was a snowflake as its symbol.
No way. “I bet this ring is fake. There are only seven Vongola rings that we know of.” Gokudera said.
“You already said ‘that we know of’. This attribute does not exist in many people, so it’s kept as a secret in Vongola, in case something bad really happens, there would be reinforcements. Something like a trump card.” Aki said.
“Oh yeah? If it’s really a trump card, we should know of it. If you want us to recognise you as our 'trump card', meet me at the rooftop in five.” Gokudera taunted.
“Wait! Aki-san, Gokudera-kun, no fighting please!” Tsuna pleaded.
“Stupid Tsuna.” Reborn said while appearing out of nowhere and kicked Tsuna’s head.
“Oww!!!”
“Tenth! Are you okay?” Gokudera asked.
“Reborn, what are you doing??” Tsuna asked.
Reborn? The Arcobaleno? "Nice to see you, Reborn." Aki replied.
“Ciao-ssu. I just received the news from the Ninth. And the duel is a good idea, I want to know how powerful this new guardian is, Reborn thought.
"What!??" Tsuna exclaimed.
“Go ahead with the duel.” He said and smirked.
“But..” Tsuna protested.
Reborn kicked Tsuna again.
“Shut up, No-good Tsuna.” Reborn said.
“Ow..”
“This can be settled by me alone.” Ganta said.
“You’re not a guardian, so stay out of this.” Reborn said.
“Heh, if that’s the case, he will be just a waste of time for Nee-san.” He replied.
“Ganta, can you just stop it?” Aki sighed and said.
“Sorry.” Ganta replied.
“Well then, see you at the roof terrace in five minutes.” Aki said and left the classroom with Ganta.
"So this is the guardian Irie was talking about." Heh," Reborn thought and smirked.

*Sneeze*
“Nee-san, you’re alright?” Ganta asked.
“Someone's talking about me.” Aki replied.
"Oh.." Ganta replied, slightly surprised that his sister would believe in superstitions.
